Position Overview
The Customer Service Representative / Receptionist contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
- Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
- Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
- Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
- Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
- Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
Qualifications (Required)
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- A minimum of 6 months of front desk animal hospital experience
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records
- Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance
- Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- 2+ years of animal hospital experience preferred in front desk or animal care role
- Cornerstone experience is a plus
Schedule
Every Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm-11pm and every Saturday, alternating 10am-6pm and 3pm-11pm every other week.

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at AnimERge. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager. Part time and Relief shifts also available!
AnimERge is an AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency referral center in Raritan, New Jersey. At AnimERge, we aren’t just a work team, we are a family! We have many long-term staff, with some being here for over 20 years. The dynamic at this hospital is one of fun, team-work, and collaboration. The ER team works closely with our Board Certified Surgeon, Internist, Cardiologist, Ophthalmologist, and Dermatologist, so every case gets the best care possible. We also know a well fed staff is a happy staff and routinely organize themed food days/nights. Our hospital is fully equipped with digital x-rays, ultrasound, an in house lab (Heska and Idexx machines - CBC, chemistry analyzer, blood gas, electrolytes, coagulation panels, and SNAP test reader), feline and canine endoscopy, 4 oxygen cages, and a separate ER surgical suite. Although we do have a boarded surgeon, our ER doctors have the ability to perform their own surgeries.
Our ER schedule is usually three 12-13 hour shifts per week, with morning, swing, and overnight veterinarians scheduled to provide overlapping coverage. We also schedule an additional doctor on Sundays to help manage the increased weekend caseload. New(er) grads would be scheduled on shifts where they would always have access to another experienced clinician who is happy to provide mentorship. You will also be well supported by highly skilled certified technicians, who are all trained in Fear Free handling.
We are currently offering extremely competitive compensation packages including a generous sign-on/retention bonus and we are happy to consider both NEW GRADS and experienced DVMs! Experienced DVMs can receive a $100,000 bonus in exchange for a 3 year commitment!

Starting at $25 hourly for experienced or credentialed technicians!
Position Overview
The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
- Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
- Support patient examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing and bringing patients to examination rooms, and restraining patients; aids as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide excellent pet care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, specialized equipment usage, and specialized drug administration.
- Obtain and verify medications.
- Ensure that patients have food and water, clean patients' rooms, cages, and equipment; observe patients for clinical signs of disease.
- As directed, fill prescriptions and administer medications, including proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.
- Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing and disinfecting holding and operating areas, storing sterile supplies, verifying shelf life, following standards and procedures, and in compliance with applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate with the pet owner about the status of the patient, as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Maintain inventory, place orders for needed supplies, verify, and maintain receipts.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional journals.
- Release pets to their owners as directed; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed before their release.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or practice.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, including day and evening hours, occasional weekends, and potential overnight shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skilled in venipuncture, patient restraint, in-house laboratory equipment, basic drug calculations, and patient monitoring.
- Anesthesia experience, IV catheter placement, surgical nursing, and/or critical care/emergency nursing experience preferred
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred or as required by State.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
